So many big, wonderful things are in the works for Pure & Good Foods! I can't say thank you enough for all of the great support you all give me. Every time you buy a jar or give me feedback or give me a hug, I feel like "hey, I can do this thing". So thanks, from the bottom of my heart.
About those big, wonderful things... I can't necessarily talk about all of it, because most are still not finalized. But, I can tell you a few! I was really excited this month because Pure & Good Foods was chosen by So Delicious Dairy Free as a grant winner for their #140difference campaign via twitter. Confirmation that twitter isn't as lame as I used to think (speaking of, if you're not following PGF on twitter yet, then do it!). Thanks to that grant, I have a little more wiggle room in the budget for fun new products like GRANOLA and SUPERFOOD BOMBS!
This last weekend at the market, I debuted the granola, which is paleo (duh), and really delicious. Everyone loved it and I sold out of it within a few hours. Yipee! Superfood Bombs were also a huge hit, and those were gobbled up really fast too. Our best seller of the day was... drumroll... Super Spread! Ya'll must just love your superfoods ;) How cute is the new icon for that flavor by the way?!
In other fun news, I will be at the Indieana Handicraft Exchange next weekend (the 13th), where there will be so many crafty vendors, yummy foods, great drinks, and stellar music. Come find me! I will also be doing a tasting the day before at Goose the Market... I'm thinking they could make a AB&J sandwich on their menu for the kiddos don't you?!
Besides all of those exciting little joys, I am also on the verge of releasing my new packaging, which is going to make it possible for Pure & Good Foods to be on the shelves in some big-name natural grocery stores. You know who I'm talking about... the big (all-natural) dogs. And I. Can't. Wait! Keep following on social media so that you'll be the first to see it!
All of that to say... I've been super challenged recently with all of these new, exciting endeavors to get outside of my comfy place. There's so much that I don't know about the food business, and once I start to "get" something, I just want to settle in for a while and experience what it feels like to actually know what the heck I'm doing. But... that's not the route God wants me to take right now, clearly, because He has brought about incredible connections which have the potential to grow PGF into a bigger, more beautiful business. Which means that I've got to get uncomfortable again. I know it will be so worth it, and I've had to keep repeating a simple mantra to myself-- "let go". We hear that a lot I think. But every context is different, and for me I'm learning to let go of what makes me feel comfortable and leap forward into the vast unknown, with wide eyes, listening ears, and a ready pen to take down all the new information I will learn along the way.
